Our Story

Pocket Alpaca began in 2019 as a small alpaca breeding venture in the beautiful Devon countryside. What started with just a few animals has grown into a thriving herd of over 30 alpacas, all with their own personalities and charm. Alongside them lives our much-loved rescue farm cat, who has very much made himself part of the team.

The farm is run by our family — Kelli, Dan, and Indianna — and together we live a fully off-grid, sustainable lifestyle in a small, peaceful hamlet in Devon. Life here revolves around caring for the animals, working with the land, and enjoying the slower pace of countryside living.

Over the years we’ve been lucky to welcome volunteers who visit regularly, helping with daily chores, alpaca husbandry, and training. Their enthusiasm and support have helped us grow the farm into what it is today.

As a rural business we’ve also been encouraged to diversify, which led to the creation of Pocket Alpaca Events. By combining our alpacas with stretch tent hire and rustic event seating, we’re able to share a little of our countryside lifestyle with others — creating relaxed, memorable events and unique experiences for guests.
